The Hotel Miramar was originally built as a private residence in about 1905. It was owned by the Austrian Ambassador who used it as a weekend home. It is built in the “Arts and Crafts” style which was very popular at that time.
This romantic cliff top hotel, sympathetic to its Edwardian origins, is the epitome of an English country house hotel by the sea, occupying one of the most spectacular vantage points in Bournemouth.
Inside the elegance continues, the clean lines and perfect angles of the fine architecture has lost nothing of its original character, retaining both the charm and grace of true Edwardian style.
The tranquil atmosphere exudes a serenity and warmth that immediately makes our guests feel relaxed and at home. Whether your visit is for leisure and pleasure or you are a business or corporate guest, your stay at Hotel Miramar will transport you away from the hustle and bustle of modern-day life.
We invite you to join us in our beautiful surroundings where our staff will use their experience and care to ensure your visit is comfortable and memorable. You will immediately notice that ‘service with a smile’ is the Miramar way, providing you with a discreet but courteous service at all times.
Hotel Miramar is open to non-residents welcoming you to sample fine light dishes and exquisite afternoon tea from our Ocean Bar & Terrace menu. From breakfast alfresco, morning coffee and pastries to evening drinks watching the sun set across the bay, time spent at Hotel Miramar will relax and inspire you. Sit a while and enjoy the panoramic views across the sweeping lawns and beautifully planted gardens which appear to stretch right down to the sea.
